Biography

Nurturing an impressive body of work that encompasses film and television Stefanie Scott is one of Hollywood's most promising young talents. With the recent release of Focus Features' and Blumhouse Productions' Insidious: Chapitre 3 (2015), the third installment of the hit horror film franchise, Stefanie completed all of her own stunts in the film which was released June 2015 and grossed over $110 million worldwide. She just completed filming Voltage Pictures indie-revenge thriller _I.T._ starring Pierce Brosnan and directed by John Moore, filmed in Ireland. Stefanie plays Brosnan's daughter about a successful owner of a private jet business who finds himself pitted against a disgruntled young I.T. consultant who begins stalking his daughter and using technology to threaten his family, business and life. Starring opposite Anna Camp and Sam Page in the independent thriller Caught (2015) released at the 2015 L.A. Film Festival, she also has a supporting role in the independent drama 1 Mile to You (2017), alongside Sam Rockwell, Melanie Lynskey, and Billy Crudup. Next summer, Scott will take on the lead role of Alex in Jason Stone's (This Is the End (2013)) independent feature _First Light_. The film follows two teenagers dealing with the aftermath of a chemical plant leak. This fall Stefanie will star as Kimber Benton, the band's lead keyboardist, in Universal Pictures' highly anticipated feature film Jem and the Holograms (2015). Based on Hasbro's cult 1980's animated series, the musical fantasy, directed by 'Jon Chu' and produced by Scooter Braun, re-imagines Jem amid the current hyper linked social media era in a story of a small-town girl going from underground video sensation to global superstar with her three sisters. Jem and the Holograms will hit theaters October 23, 2015. Following her starring role as Lexi Reed on Disney Channel's A.N.T. Farm (2011), Scott segued into guest-arc on NBC's long-running series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999) and a regular part in the CBS/Nikki Toscano pilot Red Zone (2014). Her other television credits include a lead role in the original movie Frenemies (2012), The New Adventures of Old Christine (2006), and Chuck (2007). On the big screen Scott has lent her voice to the Oscar-nominated animated adventure Wreck-It Ralph (2012), starred in Rob Reiner's Flipped (2010) based on the novel by Wendelin Van Draanen and co-starred as young Emma to Natalie Portman's Emma in Paramount Pictures's No Strings Attached (2011).
