Ahmed Lucan
Biography
Ahmed Lucan set out to explore the world of performing arts in 2001. Born in South Asia, with a rich traditional culture, he never expected to have the opportunity to fulfill his dream professionally. He began his career in the south, surrounded by his family and friends. Since childhood, he was amazed at the world of Indian cinema. In 1998, Ahmed was inspired by his icon Shahrukh Khan, a Bollywood film star, while modeling for a boutique at a concert. He focused on the continued successes of minorities in Hollywood and began to realize his potential in the arts as he joined various acting courses. Ahmed graduated with a BBA in finance and management, with a minor in accounting from Mercer University. He believes that versatility in languages equals success as the industry becomes more global. As a result, he has mastered 5 languages including English, Punjabi, Gujrati, Urdu and Hindi. He is also proficient in Spanish. Ahmed's athletic figure partially comes from his love to play soccer and cricket. He has been awarded many trophies, including the Best Goalie Award in the Western Canada Cup 2003. His recent accomplishments include an independent feature film Cartoneo y Nopalitos, Torture Room, The Bed and a Bollywood-style film, delivered in English, called The Perfect Woman. Ahmed has also been a few TV shows, such as, Army Wives, Mind of Mencia, The Cleaner and Eve. In addition, he has been a part of Portrait of Courage, a documentary about 9/11, and The War on Iraq for G4TV. Amongst many other roles in the industry, Ahmed Lucan believes strongly in social consciousness. He gives back to the community by teaching and reading to children once a week and supporting renowned foundations such as AKDN and FOCUS Humanitarian Assistance. As he makes his way up the ladder, Ahmed hopes to be a well-rounded actor, able to succeed in his abilities and give back to his community. Ultimately, he hopes to meet and work closely with his initial inspiration, Shahrukh Khan.
