Tonie Perensky

Biography

Born and raised in Canada. Tonie has a rich theater background. At the age of 16, she was voted "Top Teen Actor in the Provence." This award was given to her, no doubt, as a result of her experience as a gifted protege, who at the age of 13, was selected to be part of a unique program that had her working with the elite few University of Alberta BFA Grad students. The program was under the direction of New York's Mark Schoenberg. (Schoenberg is most noted as a director at the forefront of avant-guard theater in Alberta with the likes of the very highly esteemed, late Sir John Neville.) Of her performance in TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE: THE NEXT GENERATION, VARIETY'S Joe Leydon called her "...the most stunningly sexy sociopath to hit the screen since Linda Fiorentino steamed up THE LAST SEDUCTION." Abbie Bernstein of DRAMA-LOGUE wrote, "Perensky is terrific as Darla, a voluptuous real estate agent who is in cahoots with Vilmer (MATTHEW McCONAUGHEY," (who plays her boyfriend in the film.) Ms. Perensky took a long hiatus from a lifetime of acting after a family tragedy. She has recently been in talks about appearing in a very coveted role in a ground-breaking film which starts filming August 2015.
