Sulo Bärlund

Biography

Shot puter Sulo Richard Barlund was born on April 15, 1910 in Kangasala, Finland. Sulo won a silver medal in the men's shot put at the 1936 Olympic games in Berlin, Germany. Barlund went on to finish fourth in the same event at the 1938 European Championships and placed sixth in the 1946 European Championships. Sulo died at age 75 on April 13, 1986 in Kangasala, Finland.
