Biography

Jeanne d'Alcy was born on March 20, 1865 in Vaujours, Seine-Saint-Denis, France as Charlotte Lucie Marie Adèle Stephanie Adrienne Faës. She was an actress and costume designer, known for Bluebeard (1901), Joan of Arc (1900) and The House of the Devil (1896). She was married to Georges Méliès. She died on October 14, 1956 in Versailles, Yvelines, France.
