Eduard Tisse

Biography

Eduard Tisse was born on April 13, 1897 in Libava, Grobina uyezd, Courland Governorate, Russian Empire as Eduard Kazimirovich Tisse. He was a cinematographer and director, known for Battleship Potemkin (1925), Alexander Nevsky (1938) and Ivan the Terrible, Part I (1945). He died on November 18, 1961 in Moscow, Russian SFSR, USSR.
