Chen Tang

Biography

Born in Kobe, Japan and raised in Southern China, and finally Memphis, Tennessee, Chen Tang is a Los Angeles-based actor who has become known for his ability to transform into a wide range of characters. He has appeared in numerous lead and supporting roles in studio and independent films, most notably "Escape Plan 2" opposite two superstars--in Hollywood and China--Sylvester Stallone and Huang Xiaoming, the hit comedy "Let's Be Cops", and a subtle, complex turn in the independent film "The Jade Pendant" opposite Tzi Ma and Godfrey Gao. Roles on TV include "Grey's Anatomy" (ABC), "Rosewood" (FOX), "30 Rock" (NBC) and "Fresh Off the Boat" (ABC). He notably recurred in the role of Yong-Jin Kim, Gabrielle Union's hotshot producer, on "Being Mary Jane" (BET). Other recurring roles include "Bosch" (Amazon), "Delocated" (Adult Swim) and "The Thundermans" (Nickelodeon). In addition, he can be been seen in numerous national commercials and print campaigns for many well-known brands worldwide.
